Simultaneously the worst and best movie ever made
Actually one of my teachers watched every single version of Romeo and Juliet with the original text in front of him to prove that this was the worst version, but to his great dismay its the most accurate film adaptation of it, with the lines closest to the original text and most similar stage direction and relayed emotions.
He proceeded to show it to us in class.
man, nothing about this is the worst movie ever. it’s all good things. it’s weird and it’s an amazing soundtrack and it’s accurate to the original play and it’s mercutio in drag being the best ever and it’s ecstasy as queen mab and it’s john leguizamo, the dude who played the pest, being spectacular as tybalt. this film is all things good and right.
i have many passionate thoughts about this, shut up.
And this moment with Jamie Kennedy… It’s an amazing movie!
I’ve already reblogged this at least once (and it appeared on my dash pre-hearted), but man, I’m reblogging again because it is an amazing and wonderful movie. Well, the first bit is until everyone starts dying and them I’m out.
